Irises will always make me think of my mom: beautiful, tall, proud flowers that show up occasionally in April, and always in May. Using my Japanese watercolor set, I managed to capture these beauties from my own garden before the blooms began to fade. The happy result was a trio of bookplates that will grace my library’s pages like the last kiss of spring.
